An address about how a school is governed, not about how old its students are
Private School Gallery is built and operated by Stanley Studios. Most of our addresses name a grade band. This one names a governance arrangement, which is a separate dimension entirely — an independent K-8 is elementary and middle and private, all at once.
Why governance gets an address
Because it changes the buyer, the instrument and the motive, while leaving the age rules exactly where they were. That combination is unusual and it is why folding this into a grade-band page would lose something real.
The buyer is an admissions and advancement director rather than a principal. The instrument is a contract you drafted rather than a form a district administers. The motive is enrolment yield rather than a records obligation. And underneath all three, the age floor applies per student exactly as it does anywhere else.
A page written for a public elementary principal would have addressed none of the first three. A page written for you that quietly dropped the fourth would have been useful right up to the point it was catastrophic.
What we have deliberately not annexed
Parochial and religious schools. We model them as their own category, we own no address for them, and this site does not claim to describe them.
It would have been easy to widen “private” to cover everything that is not a public school, and it would have been wrong. Governance, ownership, admissions practice and accountability all differ in that sector in ways that would produce a bad fit two months into a relationship rather than on day one.
If you are a parochial school and this reads as relevant, it may genuinely be. What we are declining to do is make that assumption for you on the basis of a single negative fact about your governance.
The plain inventory
Software marketing describes planned work in the present tense and lets the reader sort it out. This is the whole picture.

No adoption figures, no school names, no testimonials and no enrolment statistics. A product at this stage that displays those has usually manufactured them.
Questions about us rather than the product
Who builds it?
Stanley Studios, which ran the studio side of school photography before it wrote software for it. Standing in the hall first is why the operational parts arrived early -- the absence list, the retake that has to supersede cleanly, the family who agreed in September and changed their mind in March.
Do we read this site or the one for our grade band?
Both, and they answer different questions. This one is about your buyer, your instrument and your motive. The grade-band sites are about the rules you inherit from the ages you teach -- elementaryschool.gallery for a lower school, highschool.gallery for a senior school. A school spanning both should read both, because it carries both.
What about charter schools?
A different governance arrangement with a different set of consequences: public money, an authoriser, and public-records expectations you do not carry. It has its own address at charterschool.gallery rather than being folded in here, because the two are not variations of each other.
What does it cost?
The platform is free to the school. There is no per-student fee and no seat licence, and nothing to buy in any case because live payment is not turned on. Today the business model is described rather than running.
Who reads it when we get in touch?
